About Me

       My name is Grace Nastase and I am a self-taught acrylic painter based in Kailua, Oʻahu. I am an alumni of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, with a bachelor's degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. I am extremely passionate about taking care of the environment, particularly the fragile ecosystems of the Hawaiian Archipelago. I have dedicated my time to volunteering with many local conservation organizations on the island of Oʻahu, helping to protect and preserve the native ecosystem from mauka to makai. My love for the environment not only inspired me to start painting, but is now the main theme reflected in my body of works.

       My work explores the beauty of the natural world around me. My mission is to not only capture the unique beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, but to also romanticize the landscape with enchanting colors and compositions. My work encompasses everything from pristine beaches to chiseled mountaintops. I hope my paintings convey the awe and allure of this wonderful paradise I call home.
